Creative Direction, Brand Identity, Design System, and Type Design for XN Québec and its three sub-brands. XN Québec is a leading organization supporting Québec's digital creativity, and championing a culture of excellence that defines the industry locally, nationally, and internationally.

The mandate was shaped by a set of defining objectives: to embody an inspiring, clear, and welcoming brand; to strengthen XN Québec's recognition and impact; to offer a platform with a rich creative DNA; to strike the balance between boldness and accessibility; to celebrate expertise and creative diversity; and to make the brand truly ownable through a distinctive visual language.



A creative direction that celebrates the union of talents and ideas. A network of interconnected people, who inspire and influence one another to form a dynamic whole. Each link embodies an initiative or a collaboration — like a creative pollination that fosters exchanges, nurtures connections, and reflects collective richness.








Rooted in the Grid


The grid is the foundation of the brand's visual language. It structures layouts, guides content placement, aligns text, and organizes visual hierarchy. Modular by nature, it adapts across all print and digital formats. It can take on multiple forms — allowing the brand to express itself in varied ways while always holding its consistency and generosity.

Its expressions range from the subtlety of a dotted grid, to the precision of a full square grid, and the boldness of an exponential grid, each offering a distinct visual rhythm while remaining unmistakably part of the same system.






The "X", visible in each logo, remains identical throughout, acting as a unifying thread. As for the brand platforms, foundational elements flow naturally across all of them, weaving an organic connection between the parent brand and its three sub-brands.




Numix Awards — Where Digital Excellence Takes the Stage


For the 2026 edition of NUMIX — an XN Québec initiative celebrating excellence in digital creativity — building within the XN Québec brand world was a natural starting point, while giving NUMIX the creative space to breathe, own its moment, and fully inhabit its own identity.

The campaign creative direction centered on a single idea: elevating talent. Visually, a red X nodding to both the trophy and the logo sits above the clouds, a symbol of aspiration and recognition. From there, the rest of the platform borrows from the XN design language, grounding the campaign and presenting its content with intention.

The design system lives primarily on social media, where the goal was to be exciting and engaging enough to invite sharing — while remaining easy for the internal team to use Not as a compromise, but as a deliberate balance between accessibility and a level of complexity that keeps the brand distinctive.
